Sometimes no sound with #2 and Realtec ALC883

In the last versions of your Software I sometimes get the following errors during playback:

"Out of memory.....if you have 2 GB of internal memory, please notify the developer about your soundcard" I am using SPDIF signal from the on board sound card Realtec ALC883 HD Audio

Your "sometimes" refers to tracks which are just over 6 minutes and more.
I assume that these tracks play with #1 (please let me know !!) .
I can expect that when you play an over 6 minute track with #1, and you alt-tab to another application - and back to XX, the sound stops (please let me know !!).
I think that this is coud be a bit perfect driver for XP (if you know, please let me know).

Now, firstly, there are so many issues with this chip/drivers, that it's hard to find my way in Google. I hope you can do it yourself ?

Try to focus on the driver being bit perfect, which you should NOT use, because it will make all instable (e.g. what you encounter now). Of course, you could use it for tracks shorter than 6 minutes.

If they exist, try to focus on signed drivers. You might search for drivers for Vista for more easily finding them, and they may contain data for XP, or you might have ended up on the proper webpage anyway.
Note that these will not be bit perfect then, but it's really one way or the other (or Vista/#3 ).

Please note that at your Google search you will never be able to locate the "error" you have at hand here, because of the way I treat things (which just nobody does).

Since I expect, with your current drivers, that #1 just runs (but not stable for alt-tab and back as indicated above), this might be your best bet, as long as you don't use/touch the PC during playback. Of course all depends on my estimations (above) being correct.

Hello Peter,

I don't use #1 because its limitation of 6 minutes. I am a lover of music of the 70th. So it often the music takes more than 6 minutes.

I get the error in #2. When I have started the player, I never touched it.

During playback the music suddenly stops with this error.

I'm using the official Realtec ALC883 drivers......are there other drivers?

When I select a other Output device and I switched XXHighEnd off and start it again then it don't remember the last setting!

No no no ...

In my first post above I am suggesting you should use #1 (because I think that that works), and I am STATING that #2 doesn't produce sound with a track over 6 minutes.

I don't use #1 because its limitation of 6 minutes

So ... is that (my) theory, or do you KNOW.
If the latter, you should say : "#2 behaves the same as #1"  ... and I don't think that is the case ...

Hmm ... #2 (and #3 currently) uses the Primary Device anyway. With #1 I don't know anymore whether I made it remember it (but it theoretically can do it anyway).

.............. You are right, it must be friday. I have test it! But #2 plays tracks of 11 minutes. So I forgot the 6 minutes limitation.

So that problem is solved!

Unimportant :

Can you please tell which Engine and OS you use, and whether you Double or Upsample (yeah, the last both logically follow from something, but that's exactly why I ask).

I think here the confusement started, *also* because I split the topic into two, and the above was from the original etc., blablabla. 

Then I added this to it :

With which I say (suggest) it just does (or should) work with #1, and I say this because (you say) it does not with #2 (this would be the e.g. Fireface situation with MME drivers). But as you say now : it does work with #2, this implies it does not with #1.
