Error on 09-w5

As with versions 3 and 4 I cannot load most of my music files - I have narrowed down the conditions.  I am using 09-v7 with no problems, but there is some change in your later versions that is not working for me,  I will post 3 screenshots:
1.  the error message when it won't load the file
2. track listing of file that will not load
3. track listing of file that does load

Almost all my files are in the format of the one that will not load, so this is a big deal for me.

This is a correction to above post - the screen shot of file that does not work did not appear - the shot of the file in the first post is the one that does work.  Here is the file that will not load and gets the error message - sorry about the size - when I tried to make it smaller it became illegible - we are operating at the limits of my computer knowledge here.

What I thought before seems proven here;

There are several places where " - " (space dash space) occurs, and it will be this what goes wrong. So, this is just a strange means of naming tracks I don't anticipate upon.
I will look into it now.

For what it's worth, the files that are failing to load were ripped using dbPoweramp - all I do is specify WAVE format and it assigns the track info as you see it.  The file that did load was one of my early rips and was probably ripped using Windows Media Player - again I specify WAVE and it chooses what data to put in this track description.

Most all of my wav/cue files have dashes and spaces in the name
"Taproot - 2000 - Gift.wav"
and I don't have problems?

glynnw, sorry to be so slow with this.

I have been renaming files and all to find the culprit you have, to no avail.
I just don't know what it is you have there, but I suspect hidden files causing your problem.

In the routine where this goes wrong I made an adjustment, and indeed theoretically it could go wrong in there. But not with the files you showed !

Below zip is 0.9w-5a of XXHighEnd only.
Save your current XXHighEnd version to be sure (rename it from .exe to .exx or something), unzip below zip into your current XX folder, and let me know whether it helps !

First, there is no reason to apologize for anything - I am happily using 9.v7 until this is fixed.

OK - with this latest version I do not get the error message - BUT - some files load and some do not.  By file I mean an album with tracks.

All files with tracks in the following format work fine (probably ripped with Windows Media player when I first started):

01 artist name - songtitle.wav



All files with tracks like this following format do not load (probably ripped with dbPoweramp):

artist name - album - 01 - songtitle.wav



HOWEVER - if I just add 00, 01, 02, even 000 at the start of only the first track within a file (album) of several tracks, ALL the tracks in that file load normally.  Entering 0 doesn't work - entering 1 doesn't work. 

Examples that work:

01artistname - album - 01 - songtitle.wav

000artistname - album - 01- songtitle.wav

Pwew, solved ... (in 0.9w-6, most probably up tomorrow).

It appeared to be a stack of problems. But generally it is kind of strange or inconvenient to have the track number right in the middle.

Thanks, Peter.  Until this problem started I had no idea where the track number was in this string of data.  I just put the CD in, rip it as is, and hope.  Fortunately there are guys like you around who can make it all work.  I look forward to trying the new version, but I remain happy with 09-v7.  I recently converted my amps from 2A3 to 300B and have spent lots of time listening using XXHighend and am really amazed at times at how involving the music is.
