Hi,
This is Shreekant from India, I have installed w10 and when I set the
memory to "straight contiguous " this message flashes on the screen,
I have rebooted as per the message but not track plays. Strangely except for "Mixed" no other setting works. If any body has a solution please let me know. Thanks.
 Message:

I asked Shreekant to put this on the forum because it should be a case of Reboot (with his Windows 10 Pro) - and done (like we all went through a dozen of times). In this case something must have happened that makes it persistent.
Does anyone have an idea ?

Shreekant, if you go to Control Panel, search for UAC in the top left search bar (take care that all of the "UAC" appears there and not only the U), and once found and selected, slide up the slider two notches. Now start XXHighEnd, and go for the reboot.
Btw, do this is Normal OS to be on the safe side.
I don't think it will help, but you can try it.

Hi Shreekant,

Quote

Now I don't know what you are talking about ...

-1. Reboot into the BASE OS of the one you are in (probably 10586.0). After this, watch the Title Bar of XXHighEnd for the "RAM" NOT being there (this is totally crucial).

0. Set Memory Mode to "Mixed" in XXHigHEnd and Quit XXHighEnd.

1. Go to Normal OS.

2. In there, go to rightclick on Start Button and choose Control Panel.

3. In the top right of that there is a search box - type UAC in there (and watch whether your typed "UAC" really is in there).

4. Click the link you will see with : Change User Account Control Settings.

5. Set the Slider one step higher (see picture below, where it is at the lowest setting).

6. Reboot.

7. Start XXHighEnd. Probably it will tell you that UAC settings have been adjusted and a reboot is required. Do that (reboot).

8. Start XXHighEnd and set Memory Mode to Straight Contiguous.

9. Attempt playback; the message will now again appear, telling you that Privileges has been set and a reboot is necessary. Do that (reboot).

10. Start XXHighEnd and attempt playback. Pray that it now works. If so, you can go back to Minimized OS and all iss fine.

11. Boot into the RAM version of the OS you are in right now.

Try to register step by step in a response to this forum post, what you did and confirm it. Please do this indeed because it seems easy to not understand something and then skip it. So I want to explicitly see that you performed the step with good result. And with bad result, then stop there (and ask what to do next).
Ok ?

Regards,
Peter

Hi Peter,
I have tried step by step as per your advise to fix the memory problem but it did not get solved. The only option left now is to load w10 from Arvind's RAM DISK. And see if this issue persists. Presently Iam on the W10. 10256 downloaded from the link you gave and the OS is on a 2.5HDD.
