Hi Peter, I cannot create a restore point when going from FullOS to MinOS. The error message below is generated. If I switch on Virtual Disk Service then I get another error message which I can post if you request. Let me know. But for now enjoy your beer  Cheers Paul |

Paul, can you check this :
Start Explorer;
Right Click on This PC;
Choose Properties;
Choose System Protection;
Click Configure.
Is the slider at 0 ? If so, set it at 10GB or so.
Let me know whether this is the case and whether it helped for this message to go away (so I can make it a general guideline).
I recall that mine was at 0 but for me it is standard procedure to go in there as a first thing because the XXHighEnd PC's OSes means of setup require it. So now I don't know whether this can cause this message. Seems not, but *anyway* you wouldn't be able to make a Restore Point with that slider at 0.

OK I set the slider to 10Gb but it did not fix the problem still get the same error messages.
The error message says "Virtual Disk service is not running" so I set it running manually and tried again but I just got another error message.
So nothing changed by setting the slider to 10Gb

I had same problem but found that system protection was disabled in the System Protection window (same one that you set the disk space usage). I clicked the turn on system protection button in that window and was then able to create restore point via XXHE.

Ah, so you can set/change that slider position with the Protection itself being off ? That looks like a bug to me.
