I fist installed 09-z8a on an i5 laptop and that works fine in full os and minimised. No problems.
I then installed 09z-9 and with settings identical to 09-z8a it does not work I get "Non Covered for playback situation!". So it will not work in Attended and it will not go into minimised.

That "Minimized" can't be related to the same problem. Maybe open a new topic for that with some more specifics ?
Otherwise, what is your input sample rate and bit depth, and what's the output ?
N.b.: This is a typical problem as mentioned in the Release Notes, and now I need to know exactly about the formats.

OK the DAC is simple NOS based on TDA1543 I am running it at 16/44 so filtering is not selected. Buffer size is 512. These settings work OK on 09-z83a

I just checked Minimize OS - if I start the laptop in full os, open XX and press "Minimize OS" it will go to minimised o/s no problems.
However if I first try to play music getting get the "Non covered..........." msg then I cannot subsequently go to minimised I get an error msg.
