I have been playing with w8 and " desktops "  , the only application aside the " classic windows button " stuff that did show maybe some interesting behavior .For example the working of the button "icons" in XXHE.  Of course it could be completely pointless , I don't know .
If you are willing to try it that is the link :  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/cc817881.aspx .

Also , some things emerged in http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=2546.0 ( xxEngine3.exe, ticks at SFS boundaries, and perhaps new clues ) are visible through desktops , and how the multilayer thing in w8 is working . So , waiting for the new XXHE version here ! .

Hi Stefano,

I don't see how you relate this to Windows 8. And if you don't then I don't understand what you are trying to say here.

and how the multilayer thing in w8 is working

If you mean by this that this other layer I detected in W8 now will be removed by "Desktops" ? I'm afraid it will add another one ! (just guessing)
