Peter hi,
Returned OS to 'normal' and installed/registered z-8-1 w/out problem. While in unattended and after hitting Alt-S and Alt-X commands
all I get back on screen is Library window opened. No taskbar, no desktop icons, have to restart PC for that.
The other thing to report: cover art is not showing but XXHE logo instead.
Started z-8e again - complained somewhat on Win state but no other issues, normally returns desktop on stopping/exiting unattended.
Here again, no cover art but XXHE logo shown.

Hi George,
Did you install that W7Shell mentioned in the Release Notes ? You mention nothing of it, so I guess you didn't ?
Regarding the Coverart ... must be you somehow. Switched it off in settings (well, didn't switch it on ?) or play from a structure which doesn't allow for it ? But really nothing changed regarding this.

Hi Peter, No, have not installed W7Shell - I'm still running Win7. And definitly coverart is not related, it is album's photo file size. Tried z-8e with some new album and got the same: logo iof album photo/coverart: All my albums contain 1 photo named 'Folder.jpg' with dimensions of 600x600 pixels. If file size is more than (not sure here) ~160-170kB, XXHE is not using it for wallpaper but XXHE logo instead. Easy to solve - will reduce .jpg's quality  . |

No, you should reduce nothing George. But I can't imagine what has changed. With what version was this still okay ? (you don't need to sort it out, but if you just know it ...)
But what about that black screen now (Taskbar not coming back) ? Something sure changed there ...
Just tested it myself on W7, and you are correct ... Sh*t.

For those suffering from this (which should be anyone using Windows 7 or earlier and use Unattended with shut off Desktop Services), below there's a 0.9z-8-1a version of XXHighEnd.exe. Paste over your current 0.9z-8-1 version (and only that one !!) is sufficient. The original download of 0.9z-8-1 has been adjusted for this as well (for those who did not download 0.9z-8-1 this will suffice, and below additional download will NOT be necessary). |

 And how many times I have to repeat: it is not Schiit, I'm proud owner of Phasure NOS1 !!!  Coverart - below is the original (kB & pixel size) 'folder.jpg' that XXHE didn't like to convert to wallpaper. Have noticed in several previous XXHE versions, could be even z6, but thought it's related to my older&cheap but passive graphic card... BTW: give a listen to below album. At least in lazy Sunday afternoon...  |
