Despite having both "Keep Lan" and "Persist" active, when I minimise OS the Lan does not start. Even if I click the "Lan" button, it still doesn't start. The only way I can have the Lan back is to restart in un-minimised mode.
Then when I play in unattended I get the message, waiting for services to stop.
This is on a Mac Mini running 9-7-4, under Win 7 SP1.
On another Mac Mini, same versions of XXHighEnd and Win7, the situation is different. The LAN still works on that machine in MinOS mode, as long as "Keep Lan" is selected.
Any ideas?

The "Stopping Services" message goes and playback begins, Peter.
In both cases all conditions are close to the same. I'm using home network (ethernet via mains).
In both cases I'm using your settings for Phase Alignment, Q1 and SFS values at this time.
One Mac mini system allows minimise os with Lan the other doesn't. What gives?

All I know is that there can be differences between Windows OS installs/settings to begin with. So, think about the situation which undoubtedly you too encountered that you can see one PC from the other, but not the other way around. Such a thing can be happening here too. So, the fact that the LAN stays on surely does not mean that *all* around the LAN stays on. And this could be related to these "inherent" settings (don't ask me which because I myself usually am not able to solve such things as one seeing the other but not the other way around).
Is the situation in both cases 100% the same regarding what you connect ? For example, the one you can "measure" by looking at LAN connections, while the other is measured by (not) seeing a NAS device. Both situations will be different (for "network detection" stuff).

Thanks Peter. No they are not 100% the same. One is accessing a NAS. This is the one where minimise OS works with the LAN on. The other is not accessing a NAS. This is pointing me in the right direction, because it seems I need to look at Windows settings rather than XXHighEnd settings.

This won't be an easy thing Geoff. But assumed that both can be in the LAN, try to see differences in both directions. But notice these differences can be in all sorts of areas. So, the fact that you can access a drive on the other, does not mean that it's in the list of available devices. So, "enumerating" which devices there are is something else than re-establishing a once set connection. All is made for the latter (because that would ne NAS-like) and not for the former (it would only consume "services").
