I did a new install of XXHighend. Tried to select the AKDesign USB ASIO output device I need to drive my Playback Design dac. But the device is not on the list. How can I add this device to the output device list?

Hi,

While Peter is in a sleep mode now, I wish to join in and give my initial comment.

I don't think XXHE will support ASIO. Please click this link:

You have to look for other music players like JR to stream 6.1 MHz DSD through your USB-X box.

However, if you wish to run XXHE through your MPD-5, then I suggest AES/EBU interface. I used to run Lynx card with good result before switching to NOS1 USB.

Praphan

Hi Praphan,

Thank you for your reply.

I also have a RME ASIO sound card in my pc. It has been deactivated since I start using the X-box. Maybe I should give it a try and put it back to work. Not an easy task; I had serious issues with the RME drivers.

Thanks anyway.

PauL.

Hi Paul (hey, welcome here),

Yes, try that RME card (well, if it can handle more than ASIO Wink). If you have certain problems with it, you can always try to ask here. There are quite a few people here who use or used RME.
But it should be one of the most decent for drivers anyway ?

Peter
