9Z7-2 Issue

After a new OS install I get the following error when trying to start 9Z7-2:

Not strange (to me) but a sheer pain.

If you are able to get through this (with possibly another one or two error messages), go to the [ S ] button at the bottom and fill in 1.4 in the ScaleFactor field.

But the question is : can you ever get there and are further problems away once you quit and restart after that ?

Thanks Peter. Will check when I get home this evening.

When I click away the error message above I am brought to the skin settings screen. It has 1.40 as the scale factor already in that field. When I close the skin settings field I get the GUI. When I click on the S I get the Skin Setting screen again. It isalways already set to 1.40. Deleting the 1.40 and typing 1.4 and hitting rescale doesn't help. When I restart XX it goes back to the beginning, no settings retained, and I get the original "14" error message.

I can't be sure, but it almost looks like a confusing thing between the original 0.9z-7 and 0.9z-7-2. So, in the latter somethign regarding this issue was solved, but it seems to bite your previously saved settings. Well, maybe.

In the mean time I don't understand how you could "Activate" and such, which seems to be for 0.9z-7-2. Looking at your last post in here it seems you can't do a thing.
So before proceeding ... is this still actual ?

But if so, in your XX folder (0.9-z7-2 !!) there is a "PresetLoader Fresh Install.XXSI" file; If you (quit XXHE and) copy that file over the PresetLoader.XXSI file, does that help ?

If you still can't get rid of the problem, go hunt for your Country Settings in the OS (there seems to be no logic over OS versions where to find this). Then somewhere there's a screen that allows you to determine the decimal separator as well as the "thousands" separator (this has a special name I forgot). So, this determines for you to write 100K as 100,000 and a fraction like 1.4 (in most Euopean countries we have this the other way around, like 100.000 and 1,4);
For this decimal separator you may run into strange things. So, you will see a combobox to choose from, and it may list the dot only. But notice you can enter anything in that combobox, and next it is another choice for you (when you drop it down). In your case there may even be nothing;
It would be the best if you make it to have a dot and a comma in there, to next choose the dot and save that setting.

Generally : there is something fishey in the OS regarding this, because by now I encountered too many "very same" situations which work out differently. So, with 0.9z-7-2 you are the only one who reported the problem, which can't be, unless it is a setting in your OS. Well, that's what I think now.

If I could only point you where to be for these settings ...
But this (given to me by someone else) should get you somewhere :

Go to Control Panel, Clock, Language and Region > Region and Language > Date, Time or Number Format > then change 'Format' to [your language / country] on the first tab.

So, this I could NOT find at all in my system, but instead I found this page where the decimal separator (etc.) can be entered. So, this is more direct than doing it via this "language" screen which I could not find anyway (W7 Ultimate).
