This seems to be a little tricky. How do I load the cover art for all albums?
Firstly, you must have a 'folder.jpg' in the album folder where your music files are stored. There are variations are this location, but if you start with having the folder.jpg together with the music files it will keep it simply initially. Secondly, you need to create your 'Gallery' structure, which may not be the case at the moment judging by your earlier question. Once you have your Galleries created, XXHE can be instructed to show all albums contained within the Gallery, or you can navigate down to subfolders within the Gallery that you have created, which are typically set up as genres of music type. Secondly, you need to create your 'Gallery' structure, Nah, this is not needed at all to show Coverart ... Actually it is unrelated. And otherwise I missed something.  Peter PS: To keep it simple : all Coverart can be in the same folder as where the music files are, or they can be in a subfolder to the folder of the music files. They can be in both just as well. Just stuff in there all you have for "coverart", which can be anything but music files (and can show in the rightmost pane of XXHighEnd). |

Hey there Peter .. enjoying your heat wave ?  It's a balmy 34C here at the moment! I agree you can see the coverart by using the Library Area button on the top bar, then navigating to individual folders by using the search function at the bottom, but that will only show the contents for that folder. I assumed that preproman wanted to see ALL his albums at a glance, and unless I'm mistaken all these years (which has been known to happem .. lol), then a gallery with all his albums, spread across multiple drives, needs to be created first. Once created, he then simply points to the gallery root, and all under it are displayed. hooroo, Russ |

Haha, just dropping below zero here for the upcoming week(s). Shorts are far away ... But yes, when one wants to see *all* his albums (on different drives) that is the way to go. But generally this is unrelated to how coverart shows. Once you have this organized right (and which just is a thing which goes by logic -> put the data where it belongs, unless stored in the music files itself with which XXHE doesn't do a thing), it will just show, no matter what. But you knew that alright. So it's only a matter of not making things unnecesary confusing I think (says me  ). Peter |

"Coverart" and "CD1", "CD2" are names to your likings.
This is still not all, because there's also BoxSets. But as you can see all is a kind of logical. Put the stuff where it beongs, and especially do not put it where it NOT belongs. Example of this latter :
Y:\ArtisName\AlbumName\tracks
Y:\ArtisName\.jpg's (etc.)
because now the coverart will start to belong to all albums and things go wrong. This is related to how multivolume albums are worked out, and this will fail now.
Important :
All your
Y:\ArtisName\AlbumName\
should be replaced by
Y:\Music\ArtisName\AlbumName\
where "Music" is again a name to your likings. Again this is related to how things will be worked out, thinking of this also being allowed :
Y:\ArtisName - AlbumName\
and the combination with multivolumes again. Hard to explain and hard to understand, but just comply to that extra level (\Music\) needed.

So your saying that all .jpg's should be put in the associated AlbumName folder? If so this will be a very difficult task.

All covert art is stored in Y:\Coverart. It must have some kind of pointer. When the files are imported it asks you where do you want to put your cover art. Then upon import it automatically finds the cover art (on the internet somewhere) and stores it in the cover art folder. |

Maybe there is some kind of an export function ?
But now JR has to much DSP stuff and wayyy too much video stuff for me. I like to concentrate strictly on audio. So I have to figure this out. As it will be my main player.. |
