Ok. I just experienced a totally ridiculous thing. Maybe I challenge for them - maybe I want to proceed on things unjustified, but usually I "work" with these kind of things.
Ready ?
At this moment I am deaf in one ear. Happens regularly. But, also seems to allow for hearing / perceiving things which can not be heard when all is normal. This is in the stage that both ears don't work equally.
Was this important ? totally not. However, obviously I hate the situation, especially when I just applied some theoretical SQ improving feature. So, this stays theoretical until I can hear it in well fashion myself. So, and obviously, I try all to get my ears on par, actually all day through. Depending on the situation (I have this very regularly) means exist to stimulate the curing, and one of it is blowing my ears. This means, close your nose and have some firm blows. Hope for the "plop". Have been doing this for two weeks now, but nothing yet.
Last night, right before bed time I thought to try it once more. Possibly my wife had something to tell me, and I better hear that.
...
In the house we have doors which are a kind of loose in their enclosure. So, when closed you can move them and it goes tacktacktack. Btw, they have a self frequency of 16Hz, and I'd immediately know when 16Hz is playing. All doors together will shake in their enclosures at this frequency and it adds sound which normally is inaudible. Quite interesting with movies. Shakers.
So there I was in the bathroom, which measures something like 4x4 meters with a height of 3 meters on average (no flat roof there). Door was closed (window too).
I blew my ears and noticed a beat equal to my blowing. Say three blows in a row, immediately followed by three "shakes".
So yes, the bathroom door shook.
?
I thought I was crazy, and waited for my wife to be ready somewhere else and called her in. First there was her question "what in heaven's sake where you doing ??". I showed her the phenomenon.
We both tried whether it could be my unavoidable movement onto the (concrete) floor, but nothing. Blowing ears ? completely repeatable.
I really can not understand what really happens here. So, mouth closed, nose closed, and my ears tend not to blow steam, so also not air. Didn't fart either. No way I'd be blowing air from my inside to the outside of me. I mean, that might have explained things a little (but still not).
In my view this can only be about my "volume" changing somewhat, like belly retracting and the like. But this is cm stuff and I still can't get it; If you compare this with the volume of the room, what could I contribute to that in such a fashion that a complete heavy 2x1m door (7cm thick) moves.
With music it happens too, but there we are talking SPL levels of maybe well over 100dB. Not so here, or at least not something I can imagine.
Well, talking about SPL, I thought "what the heck, why not take the SPL meter and test". So I just did;
70dB comes from it.
Why not take a smaller room ? So, into the toilet (which is normally toilet-sized) and an easy 80dB is the result (meter at 1m distance from me). With the door open I see movement on the meter for sure, but that ain't nothing much.
Btw, the toilet door by accident does not move in its enclosure, so I couldn't be capturing the noise of the door itself ...
I see a relation with my other secret experiment about pressurising the room, where some "application" makes the SPL during music playback the same in each spot of the room.
What I didn't know before, is whatever slightest it takes to increase the pressure. If I only could see how I could change the room pressure by blowing my ears like this can happen ...
