Today when I was listening and comparing these two schemes I noticed very clearly that scheme 3 accentuates the lower midrange-mid bass more. When I was listening to a male voice today it scheme 3 simply gave more of that throaty effect (a bit like elvis) than scheme 2. So that explains why some (i.e. Flecko) find scheme 2 better balanced and have more percieved clarity.

Any more findings comparing these 2 schemes?

Since I switched to Special mode from adaptive, scheme 3 is a little too forward and harsh here. I prefer Schemes 1 and 2 more.
