Well, now that I'm thinking about it, long and hard, this is what you must mean. I know, my english is not the best. Sorry for that.  Hey, my English is not the best either, and I'm American--sort of (come to think, that may explain it). That Dutch stuff looks mean on your screenshots by the way. PS: If you have an analogue camera and have to develop the film and all, better don't do it. But you can always put yout monitor on a scanner, right ?  I was going to scan my monitor, just for a lark--that's one bird in the bush, but I had only one ac outlet available so here's a digital photo instead, enschulden sie mich bitte. By the way, the tool-tips thing is of no great consequence to me; I just remember reading somewhere that you'd wanted to spiff up the interface for version 1.00. On the other hand you could go to version 9za-0 and give yourself another 26 letters to rectify those niggling impurities, you know, take the Godot route. Look at Gmail, people actually use a false beta icon to give themselves comfort. Of course Gmail hasn't made it very big.   I can't get a preview in Chrome (the browser); so if it don't look good blame that upstart Google. Is it a known issue? Chris |

Chris, thank you for your efforts. Now I understand. But it's very odd ... here this is allright. I'm not sure how easy it is for you to switch on the normal Aero look etc., but somehow I expect that to be related. Not sure at all. Not that you must use Aero again from now on, but just for testing. I just remember reading somewhere that you'd wanted to spiff up the interface for version 1.00. I read that too a few days back. I don't think I'll try that. You can check it out if you must by switching to classic. Why would anyone want to run aero if the goal is to make Vista run lean and mean, or at least not so wimpily? I can't get a preview in Chrome (the browser);

If it's about Aero, I'm assuming you designed the tool-tips under Aero and that's why you don't know that they might not look right in classic. Allright, thanks Chris. But indeed I do care, although I will never really read them. So it's just for the others. If I could easily do what you did, I'd do it of course, but I have W7 with more options on this matter, plus there are several ways to do it in the first place. So you see, I just can't copy what you have there, plus I expect it's not that in the first place. I don't like to search for needles in a haystack to begin with, let alone if there's no needle there. But is each tooltip cut like that ? or most of the larger ones that you know of ?
