Thanks Robin Hood.
Was able to get XXHighEnd to work simply by installing a new Lynx driver, 18C actually, although I will upgrade the OS to Win 7. Engine #4 is now working and sounding very good I might add. Far better than MediaMonkey. They would do well to license use of the engine from Peter. Sound is smooth like Sequioa Samplitude, which I tried awhile back for sonics. Getting decent soundstage, detailed lowend.
Would be nice to see a better interface, although I know this takes time. I am still having issues with the app crashing after playing 6-8 songs. Also, cannot get my Alpha Dac to register sample rates other than 44khz on the front LED. On 24/96k and up tracks, some will play but no 24bit flag is passed on to the dac.
I will keep playing and will post more as I discover solutions.
Thanks guys for the help.

So simple eh ? well, good ! The obvious question now : You did set DacIs to 24/192, right ? Peter PS: Shouldn't you stay with XP for a while ? Nobody (so far) says it bad or worse that Vista. About all say W7 is worse than anything else ...

I suppose I should stick with XP if that is the case. I was planning on reading about W7 this weekend on the forum.
Yes, I have the Dac set to 24/192. Anything else I might consider changing/tweaking?
Darned! It just crashed again.

About the crashing ... Do you have your Virtual Memory On ? (you should)
And what do you use for SFS.ini setting ? (that is a file in your XX folder; if you didn't touch it it will be 11).
Generally, I would lower your SFS (Split File Size) setting. Suppose it is 100 now, make it 80 or so. Or even lower.
Isn't that 192 not working something about another driver ? ... which maybe is available for Engine#3 only ? I recall something like that. Someone with a similar or even same problem in here (Alpha and AES).

Hi Peter,
Virtual memory was already on, 2045MB
SFS.ini already set to 11
split level size was at 60, now at 80.
I am finding that the program will just crash on its own, while playing or not. Usually happens after 3 or 4 songs have played, but will also crash when idling (no song playing).
I am using an OCZ Vertex SS drive, 120Gig.
/Lee

You mean the program randomly shuts off (crashes) between 6 and 60 minutes?
I don't remember reading anywhere about this...

Dear Lee, From Demo version, Install notes and getting an Activation Key : What you download from this board (the XXHighEnd-x.xx.zip files) is a fully working demo version, only limited in playing time per session; When you've got an Activation Key your demo version will have turned into a normal licensed version for your household with unlimited playing time. But I'll admit that the 6 and 60 was not mentioned there. I added it in that text and put it in bold in the mean time. I apologize for the confusement ! Now, let's see what's up with the 192KHz ? Or do you have that going already ? Regards, Peter
