This is a very quick attempt to let you share a KS (Engine#4) version which will keep on playing in Unattended Mode at least.
Possibly USB on XP works too.

But now beware ...
Engine#4 can now run in a special mode, and currently it can't be determined in advance when this will be, but it is Q1 related. Please start trying with Q1 = 14 or so, and watch the X3PB log file for a message like this :
Is mode normal ? (no YES shown is special) : YES
This YES shows that the mode is normal, hence nothing special.
However, when this YES is not there, this is your special mode ... (notice that the first part of the message will always be there).
You should look for a Q1 setting which just enters that special mode (no YES shown) from a higher number downwards. So, first find a Q1 which shows the Yes, then lower it and lower it, until the very first step
where the YES does not show. And now watch the sound ...
Do *not* go lower than this first step. It will only get worse from there on (of course some will try
).
Also important to know : If you never see a Yes at any Q setting (best is to start at 30 if you can't find it quickly), you will either have no sound, or the sound won't be right. Please keep this in mind.
A next version may auto-find this "special mode", *if* it is satisfactory to begin with.
Important : The zip below contains XXHighend.exe and XXEngine3.exe only; paste those over the original 09y-5-00 install, and that one only.
