I am currently running Windows 10 Home, which does not permit RDC. I am running VNC instead. But if I minimize system, I lose VNC. Is there a services or services I can except to keep it running? Is it too many and I should just wait to upgrade to Windows Pro?

Hi,
Theoretically we can determine what "is causing VNC to run". For that, I need to see the Services and Processes which run prior to when all stops running. Problem is that this snapshot (which are screenshots of running services and processes) should be taken in minimalistic state to begin with. And if you lose VNC already when going from Normal OS to Minimized OS, it is too much and therefore tells nothing. So if you can find a modus to "be" in Mininimized OS with VNC still OK, that can most probably work.
Notice that this is about obtaining the Services and Processes involved in the "To Keep" fields in XXHighEnd's Settings.
Getting yourself a Pro version does the job by guarantee ...

RDP Wraper gives W10 Home same RDC function as W10 Pro. https://github.com/stascorp/rdpwrap/releaseshttps://appuals.com/how-to-setup-rdp-on-windows-10-all-versions/I briefly had a chance to try it and it worked with XXHE until starting unattended play. It was not my PC and did not get chance to find out if it could be made to work fully. Colin |

ETA: I wanted to add that with VNC I forgot to enable "Wifi Service", so it's possible VNC would still work. But this is a much better solution.

 ? Hi George and everyone, I am actually interested in such solutions for my other hobby horse - ERP Software (OK, that's my normal work). So, more and more companies hand their IT stuff to specialized companies which only know 5% of what we know ourselves about hardware (let alone what they know about our own software), but which companies ARE capable of excluding everybody from the system, including the owning company itself and us. This is mainly about us and how support is prohibited by this evil means. To be clear what this is about : the other day I visited such a customer and tried to install Teamviewer (which already is not allowed and possible, but I managed) but next up is the communication which goes over ports (like 80 is such a port for a web server) and all is closed except for what the "securiy company" allows to let the network operate (and which has become an intranet because of that). So what I actually seek is such software which is able to break through everything and all, so we can operate a customer's screen and look in the database and everything - repair stuff. Well, not very different from what some times is necessary for XXHighEnd (multiply that with 10000 or so and you know what ERP software is). Any hackers around ?  Peter |
