I usually use foobar2000 because the simplicity of it. But then, occasionally I want the sound quality of xx. But when I opened xx this time the UI only opened up just as a small rectangle (approx 20x15 cm) up in the left corner, and it was impossible to resize. It just didn't work. Note: I've got the recent windows 10 update (1607), has that got something to do with it?

I edited the text after you responded to it. anyway, it is supposed to be the latest version of xx, and the screen view is what you'd expect before you resize it. Only it just didn't work.. But can you give me a min? Maybe it will work if I reboot the computer? I give it a try..

I have never heard of such a problem ever. I think I really need that screenshot (you can use your phone for it).
Do notice that in the end you will need formally supported Windows 10 builds and you should prevent from updating those (XXHighEnd can do that for you). The latest build supported is 14393.0 (the main xcreen of XXHighEnd will show the build number).
Btw, I am not saying that other builds won't work, but with Windows 10 you can never be sure whether it works "tomorrow" or why today the sound is worse than yesterday.
