No. It is working on purpose like this.
But I don't recognize a thing of what you say ...
Of course many situations exist or may exist that something messes up in the audio engine. But nothing like "when I play somewhat longer, stop and want to play again, it won't work unless XXEngine3.exe is killed".
So maybe you can recognize what the specificness is about your issue ?

By the way, I tried the Sotm Card with W8, but the same happens... I play one or a few songs all in a row, all is good. When I press PLAY the next time = reboot... I am beginning to have a collection of items that I am trying to apply to other tasks  Alain |

Remember, when you talked about such (similar ?) issues earlier it appeared to be the same in W7. But this is solved now in one of the later z-8 versions.
