Core Parking: is a new feature in W7 that may be very handy for laptop computers, but not very convenient for systems where high performance is needed at all times.
From what I know Core Parking moves background processes to single core allowing other cores to sleep. This prevents all cores from always running at a low utilization which consumes power.

To disable it, you'll need to do the following:

- Go to Regedit
- Find this key: " 0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583 "
- Within this key, there is a value called:  " ValueMax "
- This value represents the % number of cores the system will park - the default 100%  ie: all cores are potentially park-able
- Change the value from 64 to 0 so the "ValueMin" and "ValueMax" are both zero
- You will have to find the key a few times and repeat the process for each time it is found - the number of instances will depend on the number of power profiles in your system
- Do a full shutdown and power-off and cold-re-start

Hey, thanks. But :

There is so much more behind the scenes here, that it is my advice to leave this alone. It can't and should not be done "just like that", or at least it shouldn't be done for XXHighEnd. There will already be a difference for OS Normal and OS Minimized Mode. Lastly, most probably it will backfire on you.
So, really nothing to "just apply".

... Which doesn't mean I won't look into it and try to apply it in decent fashion ...  Happy

Thanks,
Peter
