With some luck this is the last "beta-beta" version for Kernel Streaming (Engine#4). This, awaitening the support for "24 bit-only" devices (e.g. OffRamp).
USB for XP should be working now (as well as other devices not working the last few versions while before they worked).
No anomalies about stopping playback should occur, though Attended will still be problematic (actually untested).
An adjustment has been made regarding changing the Digital Volume during playback, and for Engine#4 as well as Engine#3 it should be better now (if not plain allright).
The "YES" message in the X3PB log file from the before 5-05 version has been replaced by a "Special Mode ! (actually WRONG)" message and a "Normal Mode" message;
The Normal Mode shows that everything should be allright, and no skips or distortions should be audible; anyway, technically all is "measured" correct.
Not so with the Special Mode, which actually denotes things are NOT RIGHT. However, it was found that just in the case this is "near the limits" things can be allright just the same, but everything "behaves" differently. Look for different sound here !
Important : Might you be in search for this Special Mode, FIRST find a Normal Mode starting with Q1 = 30 and downwards, and once found, look step by step for the FIRST Q1 value which shows Special Mode. If this sounds distorted for you, bad luck !
Notice that depending on the "state" of your PC, the Q1 value where this happens may change. IOW, you may find that not always the same Q1 value shows Special Mode. In a future version this will be worked out in a less tedious fashion.
PS: This was the last upgrade for today.
Important : The zip below contains XXHighend.exe and XXEngine3.exe only; paste those over the original 09y-5-00 install, and that one only.
