Hi guys,

I'm pretty new to xx highend player yet I think  figured out most of it.
Yet I can't get  xxhighend to run stable. After some time the player would just fail me and tells me that its OutOfMemoryException.
Pretty weird because it is the only thing running (except some background processes like every computer. And I have 8GB of Ram.
I think its something I did wrong in the settings or so.

Any ideas how to fix this would be appreciated
Thanks in advance.

Hi Bart,

This always can happen, since you are under control of the used memory yourself. This goes in an indirect fashion though;

The Split File size parameter denotes this, and as far as I am concerned all should forever play when that is set to 70 (which is on the low side). All depends on the sample rate and bit depth played, but from my own experience this 70 suffices for 32/352.8 playback.
Notice that the default settings is 100, which indeed would be too much for the playback rate just mentioned.

Lastly for now, not any one process can use more than 2GB (at least in the XX case this is so), thus your 8GB doesn't help with this (generally, more than 3GB brings nothing anymore).

Ok, let me know if this helps.
Peter

PS: XXHighEnd plays all from memory, in case you didn't know.

PPS: Welcome !
