Hi,

found this procedure on CA, and I hear differences.

1. Open regedit, select Yes if you’re requested run with Administrator rights
2. Navigate to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Policies\System”
3. Change the value of “ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin” and “EnableLUA” to 0
4. Reboot and your system will get native app performance back.

EDIT: Strange, last night the values were 5 and 1 0, and I changed them to 0 / 0.

For comparison changed them back to 5 /0 this morning, rebooted and XXH forced a reboot again and the values are 0 / 0 now.

Hi Joachim,

I'd like to encourage you to stop dreaming.

A. You did not set EnableLua to 0 because it was already 0.
B. It is that for 7 or 8 years by now.

So, good that you heard a difference. swoon

Another advice is to stop listening to the cr*p of that guy. You know ...

The ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin doesn't do a thing when first EnableLua is set to 0.

Lastly :

So not only 0/0 changed to 5/0 but now 5/0 also changed into 0/0.

Stop the nightmares !!

Maybe it makes a difference in SQ, but it wasn't made for that in XXHighEnd. Anyway it is in there since Windows 7 (but possibly even Vista, thus right from the start of XXHighEnd).

I fumble around a little bit.

So, XXH is setting the value  “EnableLUA” to 0 straight from the beginning, but do not change “ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin” values.

With “ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin” set back to 5,  a nice 3D soundstage is here, setting this value to 0, the soundstage is flat. No ambience.

So we better leave “ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin” as it is. Sorry for disturbance.
