Download is at the bottom. Activate with your existing 0.9z-7 Activation Code.

Notice : In this version the small vinyl like ticks in between tracks (only for tracks with gaps in between them) exist.

For those already using Activated 0.9z-6, please look here : How to Activate 0.9z-7 and up.

Release Notes to 0.9z-7-5 :

  • For Phase alignment, if all is right, all the ticks, cracks etc. are now solved. So, this counts for starting a track, stopping it and changing the (XXHighEnd) volume.
    Although there still will be constraints, the settings to accomplish "no ticks etc." are not fragile anymore;
It can be said that only with the lowest SFS (Split File Size) settings (like 2) and 32/705.6 (768) output a fairly powerful sub-low "thump" may be audible at stop. This is nothing to worry about.
The lower Q1 settings should not cause problems, but, this has been tested with Kernel Streaming Adaptive mode only, up to Q1=1, Q1Factor=1 and a Device Buffer Size of 4096 - also at high volume (-9dBFS).
Don't hesitate to report anomalies which don't fit into the above description, or otherwise.

  • Also for the "DAC Needs = 24 bits" D/A converters Phase Alignment works now. It is to be noted though that the way this has been accomplished possibly doesn't bring the better sound from Phase Alignment at all. So, please feel free not to use it.

  • Maybe temporarilly, maybe forever - Phase Alignment will not engage anymore when Inverted Phase is active (a message after pressing Play will tell you so when attempted anyway).
It is regarded too complex, especially for the "DAC Needs 24 bits" D/A converters.
Advice for now when you need Inverted Phase (in permanent fahsion) : switch the polarity at the loud peakers; this should bring you the same effect.

  • The in 0.9z-7-4 changed Volume operation regarding "Peak Extension" so to speak, has been reverted to how it ever worked. See here for background info : Peak Extend Conundrum.

  • The labels denoting the Q1-Q5 set values were not visible on all monitors; If all is right they now do.

Issue just noticed at final testing but probably already in there forever : It has been reported earlier that at the first "Split File Load" a small tick could be audible (which we never heard ourselves). Now, at least when a 24/96 track is played natively (no upsampling) this is very well audible as a high transient tick.

For the remainder of the Release Notes to 0.9z-7, please look here.

Switch Off UAC (User Account Control) before any first attempt of starting XXHighEnd.exe ! For W7 this means : set the slider in there to the lowest position. And don't forget to reboot after setting it Off.

If you are new, follow the little guide which will appear on the screen right after the first startup of XXHighEnd.exe, and perform the steps shown in there.

If you don't want to end up reinstalling your OS when using Minimized OS Mode, read this first : Minimize OS - How to start with that. Do it !

IMPORTANT :
When you already use XXHighEnd it will be logical to have it in the Minimized OS state at this moment. FIRST BRING THE OS BACK IN NORMAL STATE ! So, notice that the new (0.9z-7) version will start out in Normal Mode, or at least it thinks it is that. So, cause it to be really so or otherwise you will need a Restore Point right away.
