Could anyone recommend a TT with USB for transferring my LP collection to the computer?. I sold my TT some time ago and now I´d like to transfer the LPs to the computer. Any recommendation about the TT that could do it directly to the hard drives (WAV files)?.

I'm interested too. But :
I wonder whether this is something to do via a 98 euro USB turntable ... Remember, the sound will be coming from the turntable and it will be a close (if not 100%) representation in digital later (when digitized at 24/192). At least that it so be expected from the NOS1.
Also there is not all that much reason to "utilize" an easy analogue to digital transfer like that USB internal device will do it for you. But of course you will need some other capturing device then.

A proposal for a Highend solution with an existing TT:
The DSD and Mastering Recorder Korg MR-2000S --http://www.korg.com/MR2000S
and
iZotope RX 2 Software --http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/rx/

For those without an existing TT, I would strongly recommend picking up a Technics SP10MKII from eBay. Without a plinth, they seem to go for around €500. A decent plinth, arm and cartridge would add another €500-€1000 or so. If you mount the turntable/plinth on a properly designed turntable wall bracket, I reckon you'll have something that works really well for digitizing vinyl - the fact that the turntable doesn't have any suspension shouldn't matter if you're monitoring via headphones or via speakers at a really low volume. Of course, this is exactly what I've done Mani.

See my proposal/links from this afternoon. From the TT to the phono-preamp, than to the Korg und you will get 24/192 files. The SQ is amazing. Joachim

I would like to know if there is a recording software with a build in RIAA filter option. Anybody knows?` -Then I could use the line input of my RME 400 soundcard (which also does the AD conversion). Something else which I have been wondering about: Is iteasier to do A/D conversion, than D/A conversion? -I think so, because you can skip the linestage.

Thanks Joachim, I have a Technics SP10MKII from the times I owned a music bar, still have also a Thorens 160, but I sold my great TW and my phono preamp. I don´t have a big Lp collection, maybe around 500 that are worthwhile, some of them also in cd. That means that I don´t want to invest a big amount in hardware or software, what I´m looking for is an acceptable way to transfer the vinyl to digital wav files at a reasonable cost. Christoffer, I found this that talks about the RIAA, it´s very cheap and even sell a TT, I don´t know about the quality, however: http://www.dak.com/reviews/tutorial_lp.cfmJuan

For information about TT's: http://www.vinylengine.com/turntable_forum/index.phpI won't recommend my own TT because that way the prices only will go up.. (And I don't intend to sell it). Be warned though, for a transfer to digital that will keep you happy when playing through XX/NOS1 you'll need to do some serious investments. If you go for the cheap ones all your music will have the same soundsignature and in the end that starts to annoy. But of course vinyl is a nice hobby on it's own with always room for improvement.

About Prism : All I can say is that to me this looks like an Audiophile company with Pro gear (the only one I know). This is not to be confused with a Pro company putting Audiophile stickers on their devices (starts with W).

Hi Juan, I'm not sure. Reading the informations on their homepage, the procedure for a final result is more complicated than with the Korg unit. The Korg and associated software "Audio Gate" is storing the 24/194 digitized (vinyl) file on an integrated 80MB harddisk, ready for further storing on the server or additional "manipulation" via an "anticracking" software, such as "iZotope RX 2 " Joachim
