More than anything, this demonstrates the improvement in I/O performance the latest motherboard chipsets and processors bring. Perhaps it's time to consider upgrading my audio server? Nah ... it's quiet, stable and I'm quite content with the sound quality. A few seconds quicker getting the music to start is neither here nor there in the scheme of things at this level.
We'll have a speed rematch when I get my quantum PC sorted out

OH .. BTW ... meant to ask, those ocassional messages that pop up about running out of contiguous memory at start of playback (in unattended mode), and suggest a restart etc., can you send XX back to the GUI after you click on OK, rather than just leaving you looking at a blank screen. At the moment you need to Alt-X to get back. Would make sense to return you to the GUI automatically as there's nothing else you do at that point.
