After reinstalling my XXhighend I am listening to it right now. This new z3 (is it a BMW  )is very good at first sight.

I have found some interesting stuff about optimal audioplayback.

It is all about optimizing your os. Just take a look and see if this is suitable. I made the changes right away.
I think it is very helpfull and interesting. It tells step by step what to do.

About the hiface:

When you want a big improvement you should take a 5Volt battery and cut the +5 volt from your hiface USB port of the computer (the red wire) and connect it to the battery and - to the ground of the device.
Take a good quality battery which is rechargable. I took a 5Volt battery you can also use together with TOM-TOM or I-phone (€35,00)

 
firewire versus hiface 2mtech

with the  firewire  can I at most 4 numbers play in the special mode, after that my dac  will give digital distortion and that with 29 processes  between 13 en 23 % power from the processor and 3072mb buffer in both laptop en dac (less is not possible )

I play with a laptop duo core 6600, win 7 32bit slimmed , firewire ex tern card (intern texas instuments)   the weiss dac 2 and a custom made firewire cable

with the hiface 2mtech I can play anything on the special mode , also with 29 processes  3 en 6 %  power of the processor, 128 mb buffer in both
and with the aqvox usb cable (is better than the furutech 2)

I prefer the sound special mode above the adaptive mode spacial,  separation  so my choice  for now is the hiface

I'm now busy with special usb cables, from audioenergie  usb  glass cable for more galvanize separation. and 2 mtech evo ( coming next week)

The album Touch has become my favorite album. Just buy/copy it!!
It is all there! Dynamics/bass/resolution/highs etc!!

My whole family likes this album (son(9) daughter(12) and wife(dont't ask for her age:-))

And together wit XXHIGHEND??????????? You know the answer already I believe. Just amazing!!

My DAC is an upsample Dac and I cannot shut this off. Only to choose  96 or 192 /24Bits, but actually a very good sound from a reasonable priced Chinese DAC (899,00).
I havo to convince some High-end friends of the quality getting from a pc/Dac route (W&W audio Enschede) together with XXHIGHEND :-) I think from now an easy job. I will install my HP laptop together wit the Xindak DAC-9 on a very good system available over there and show them that they do not longer need a CD-player!!!
And I will try if I can get a NOS Dac from them to see if it's a better solution!

Hi to you all!!

I've just purchased the XXHIGHEND player!!
This new 0.9Z was that amazing good that I just made my descission!

I am listening to it right now in Special Mode Q-1 /0/0/0/0

My system is a Gryphon Tabu / Ensemble PA-1/Profundo speakers and a Xindac dac-9 upsampling 192Khz.
I am just starting to know what is my system capable of!!!!!!!!
Laptop HP 1,66GHz 2,5 GB Windows 7 professional.

Peter, you did a very good job! I've tried J.River 15 / Foobar / I-tunes etc.and did not expect this kind of difference in sound. The Ensemble / Gryphon combo is obvious capable of a lot more I could ever dream of!!

Also my wife, whos is the best reference in listening, noticed the better quality immediately.

I am wondering what setings are better for my dac, wich is an usampling dac 24-192.
Am am playinf 16 / 176400 right now / Invert / Arc Prediction(does that work on 16 B.

Any helpfull information is welcome!!
