To me it is just plain crazy - the difference is not subte, so we concluded that it had to be intentional, thus it is quite the surprise to hear that it isn't!
If you can find something that could cause this difference I would like to hear more about it.
Damn, I love this player.
What scheme should be best - I have tried 1 and 3, and the latter sounds best in my system?
Best regards, David

Ultimate Audio Playback / Your thoughts about the Sound Quality / Better sound after activation

My buddy Poul bought the XXhighend player a couple of days ago, and he immidiately talked about improvements after activating the player.
Well after paying him a visit I could also hear what he meant - the overall sound quality of his system had improved quite a bit since last time I visited him.
So, after comming home I fired up my system and paid for the activation code, as I HAD to find out if this was really true. After some minor problems the activation code arrived, and while listening to Diana Krall - Live in Paris "Love being here with you", I activated the XXhighend player. I thereafter immidiately restarted the player and played the same song as before activation.
And was Poul so ever fucking right - much more inner detail, more air, better presence and higher sence of precision - everyting sounded much more natural than before activation. Next track was Boogie Soliterre - Simple Things "Superficial" and the story repeated itself: more natural, involving and coherent.
I'm just saying: What the F*** is going on? has anyone experienced something similar?
