Goodmorning Everybody,
Instead of using a second pc for music storage i like to use a NAS.
Is that possible and can i access the NAS trough LAN? I do not have Wifi.
And can i buy any NAS for this?
So XXHighendpc => LAN KABEL => NAS
or
XXHighend PC => LAN KABEL => Router => NAS

I tried a NAS for high-resolution audio streaming but it didn't work for me, too slow, user experience was not good enough...
My advice buy some quiet WDRed 6TB harddisks en put them in Raid 0 en place them in your audio streamer pc (this way you have internal storage = DAS streamer) and use your NAS offline for backing up your music collection, just for in case your RAID 0 collaps
In the future when nvm express SSD storage will be cheaper this will be the way to go, but for now harddisks are a better choice
