I just set all my settings to = Juan
q1=6, q1X=10, q3,4,5=1, clock 1ms and sfs = 120

Everything works! (even with cover art)

I was reading about q1 and it seems to = importance with buffer size.  I had to experiment with old XX version with my KS Hi face usb module and 768 seemed to work ok.  I'm not positive that is correct. 

Just received another unable to clear proxy error after disabling cover art.  qs not = 1

Just disabled cover art to "do nothing"  Yes - when qs all set to 1 nothing starts. 

I have disabled the cover art as suggested.  Now play will not start when q3,4,5=1.  I changed q3,4,5 to =3 and it is playing now. Would like to go back to 1's

This was set in settings

I just changed my q5 to zero to avoid the cover art error.  At the end of the first track XX stopped "Unable to clear proxy....."
I had to restart the computer to play anything.

I have Just purchased 1.186a, and it sounds great.

I get the same error, and I read that the Q settings might have something to do with this. Are there any standard/generic settings for Q, SFS, and Clock Resolution that I could start from which might help prevent the error from occurring?

Sorry, false alarm.  My son and I just fixed the issue. We reformatted the playback drive.  Then we started over using the instructions and it worked. 

We, originally, set permissions for the drive instead of the system file inside of the drive.

First, and most importantly, the sq of XXHE is stunning!  I spent all Saturday night saying "Holly ##@##, this is CD??!!!"

I finally got my PC working a couple of days earlier (it was a bad velociraptor - I think it maybe the Sabertooth took a bite out of it)

My son (who is better with computers) and I tried to set up the separate drive as the playback drive and kept getting a bunch of errors.  One thing that I just thought of is the guys at Fryes told me that they used that drive as the OS drive to isolate the problem to the Velociraptor.  Could that be why I need to do something different?

We're not using a separate playback drive now.

The other error I keep getting is playing the first song results in a match error.  But if I start the second song and stop it and go back to the first it works fine.
