It's the same disk as I used on the other Win XP system.
Strange huh!

2  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Vista Track Data issue on: January 30, 2008, 12:47:21 am
Hi,

Jsut moved to Vista and XXHE stops after every 2 or 3 songs and the follwoing 3 error messaages are displayed.

1. No Track Data Received
2. No Track Data Given
3. Egine #3 did not start within the expected time

I never got this behaviour under WinXP Pro Spk2.

What does it all mean and can I 'fix' it?

3  Ultimate Audio Playback / Music Storage and convenient playback / VNC and Remote Desktop on Vista on: January 27, 2008, 01:39:03 am
Hi,

I've just set up my 'record player' a Vista Ultimate system with plenty of DAS and XXHE works great.
I wanted to put that system in the attic and remote control it using UltraVNC but...
When I log onto the system from my workstation I can see everything except XXHE which is really wierd.
So... XXHE is invisble.
I've tried everything I can think of but no luck.
I tried using Remote Desktop and it worked perfectly but ofcourse you can't 'share' a session on the remote system which is very useful and in fact RDC makes simple tasks rather awkward.
Any ideas on a solution?

Apart from all this non audio stuff, XXHE sounds absolutely terrific.

Fantastic.
I was running Engine #2 (XP) which sounds best to me but I had the device set to USB codec.
This is great stuff.
I've played off XXHE against all the competition I can find and it really does outclass them.
Thanks Peter

Hi Peter,

09t-0 is great but I seem to have a problem with long files (I use flac).
They just don't play.
