1  Ultimate Audio Playback / Your thoughts about the Sound Quality / Re: Hissing and clicks going from one song to the next - MP11 ripped WAVs - V. U on: March 28, 2008, 08:16:04 pm
I have noticed that u7 and u8 have lost a little bit of midrange cleanliness, at the expense of
a little more bass.
I really like U6 and I am sticking with it. in my view imaging is a lot better on u6, than
u7, u8 on 16/44.1.  I don't know about any other settings or higher bits.
2  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Spooler subsystem down? on: March 22, 2008, 05:07:40 pm
Very frequently I get this when I play u6.. is there something I need to do to avoid it?
I thought you mentioned something about long time ago..

Spooler Subsystem app has stopped working..
thanks.

3  Ultimate Audio Playback / Chatter and forum related stuff / Re: Vista SP1 available on: March 19, 2008, 07:43:48 pm
I recommend you upgrade to sp1 whenever possible as this patch, really makes vista faster and they have fix alot of stuff. copying files from network shares is definitely improved. network seems smoother.. overall, Vista is smoother now.. This is what vista should of have been since the beginning...

5  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / What is the problem with 44.1/16 on: March 10, 2008, 07:50:14 pm
Hi Peter,

this is my first post here and I have been following this process for sometime now.. I just  noticed that you put out a new version with more fixes and changes to the sound, what exactly this phrase means?

"An unavoidable change has been applied to XXEngine3 which may influence sound for native 44.1/16 files."

because, I don't listen to anything else but 44.1/16... what exactly do you mean above? is the sound worse or better, I assume worse, being that the SQ changes from version to version most of the time..

Also, I was wondering when your software will be out of the beta cycle, as I see that a lot of people is helping you to complete it and I hope to buy it someday when the software is done.
