do you think they use some sort of filter to produce that soundstage feeling.?

the thing i feel is a big soudstage...my phones are closed, they don´t have big soundstage..but in spotify when i ear things around me in space outside my cans.. playing localy i don´t have the same soundstage and separation...
i´m comparing to a streaming service beacause is where i feel diference.. localy the xxhighend is the best player for me.

i have been listening to the same tracks on both and i don´t know what they are doing in spotify but the soundstage is super i can year on my audiotechnica ath-50 phones where the instruments are and it´s so clear. In xxHighend things are clear too but i not have de same soudstage.
anyone have tested the same tracks on both??

hello peter, i know but the thing is that conexant audio on the sony vaio... to me sounds better timbre more real, more separation and without the arc-predition and peak extend... and i´ve searched and it´s a japanese company... and only a few vaios have that card. most of them have realtek chips. the audiphilleo+lavry combo in adaptive mode is nicer but sometimes does not play.
the thing is with the vaio i choose 32 bit on the dac need.
and on the audiphilleo+lavry  i choose 24 bit on the dac need.

is the 32 bit better SQ?

i have another comp (my girfriend sony vaio) with a conexant onboard chip only have engine 3 but the sound for me (i use ath-m50 pro headphones) is better than my other combo (audiophilleo+lavryda11).
on vaio the sound e super clean and the instruments a very well separated.
on the (audiophilleo+lavryda11) the to my years is a more muddy.

note that on the sony vaio i put the option (the dac needs 32 bit).
on the (audiophilleo+lavryda11) i use the dac needs 24 bit.

anyone here with audiophilleo???? can play engine 4 special mode?
specs for clock, dac settings, SFS?
can only play adaptive mode but sometimes does play.. other plays.
on engine 3 plays allways.

Hello everyone, i need your opinion because i mounted a desktop pc only for music and i have xxhighend.
for now i´ve been feeding my lavry da 11 thru an optical audioquest cable from my Realtek® ALC 887-VD2 on board card.
my question is: is it better to by a esi juli@ for spdif out do dac???
it improves the sound quality?? for me the sound now is very good... i´ve seen juli@´s mod etc... they claim improve on sound....

what are your opinions??
by the way a have an audiophilleo to but for me the sound of the audiophilleo is not so good (the timbre isn´t so natural, bass and treble extension but no mids at all simple does´nt sound ok to me)

is with the interface open when playing, i have other files with, 80 minutes and i don´t have problems....
i don´t know if because the length of the file or if is the type of the mp3. i had the same issue with another mp3 above 100 minutes...

Hi, i having problems on playing files with more than 100 minutes, only gives-me 8 minutes of music than stops...
in another file it only play about 19 minutes than stop....

I Peter, yesterday i did some tests.... and my conclusion is that xx e very near from what a ear when streaming from web.
the only thing i ear different is my main problem of the treble extension....i think the xx treble is a bit loud, my sensation is that creates earing fatigue(i´m using engine3 wasapi) but the sound is almost there....
maybe with a usb/spdif converter i can use engine4 and maybe the sound is more accurate...
 

I to all of you who love good quality sound, i have one question:
in the last days a discovery that when i stream music on-line from some sites, the quality is superb. (exemple: bleep.com)
some times is more pleasant than from xx playback.... why this happen??? anyone experiment this difference???

the cue thing is resolved......i did as you said.

about my config i have news... i connect the de dac by usb to my laptop and i was able to use KS engine 4, I tried several setups... but i have to lower a lot SFS.
the sounds to have more mids and lows... but don´t have the same definition that i have on engine 3 wasapi....

and i can´t get rid of the ticks and bleeps on engine 4

what soundcard do you recommend for my asus laptop so i can play engine 4 ???


in relation to cue files... yes tried to drag and does n´t work... how can i play cue files???

I Peter i bought the final version and i´m very satisfied with sound but i have one question...
how can i play from cue files?....i tried to search here in the forum but i didn´t found nothing....
in this case i have a flac and a cue file... how do i play the cue as i play from foobar or others?....

other thing i using engine 3 because my soundcard don´t do ks, and a feel the sound hyper detailed, i think i ear the highs more than mids ans lows...( i think i feel some lack of mids lows...)
do you feel the same in your setup??? how does it feel for for engine 4 in compare to 3????
