1  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: Mytek DSD192DAC Firewire driver 4.1.3 uploaded today, Jul09 on: July 11, 2013, 08:21:46 am
This is an odd issue for sure. I moved latency to minimum in the Mytek firewire driver and 'played' with the buffer size, (matched in XXHighEnd) from smallest available in the Mytek driver to the largest, no go when XXHighEnd DAC selection is set to 32bit. I did change Q1 from 14 to 4 as a check, no go in 32bit.

Now, I can move latency as well as the buffer size to absolute minimum to maximum, Q1 too and the files play like a charm as soon as I assign the DAC as 24bit.

I don't know...
I'm glad all works with the checkbox 24bit selected!

Cheers,
Ogrady
2  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Mytek DSD192DAC Firewire driver 4.1.3 uploaded today, Jul09 on: July 10, 2013, 06:18:41 am
Hello Peter,
Today Mytek posted the latest firewire, (yesterday actually) and I've installed it and immediately lost firewire playback using XXHighend 0.9z-8-1a after reselecting the output device as either Mytek blah blah or the KS Mytek blah blah.

XXhighend error window suggested bit length change from 32 to 24 bits or visa versa. After getting no where with other variables within XXHighend I clicked the radio button, "24bit" and the DAC now played. All other software players I have are fine with the DAC bit depth selection of 32 bits as was XXHighend prior to this latest Mytek firewire driver.
Thought you should know.
Regards,
Ogrady
