76  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: Remote Desktop problem - cursor shows on Audio PC on: July 30, 2016, 01:16:49 am
Ah, I found a small grayish menu on the top of the Audio PC desktop (hidden underneath a similar menu of the MusicServerPC desktop). Hitting that shows a toggle possibility between Mouse and Touch on the right hand side of the screen.

Restarting Remote desktop brings the default to the Mouse mode and not the Touch mode, which is not convenient.

77  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Remote Desktop problem - cursor shows on Audio PC on: July 29, 2016, 09:12:18 pm
My Audio PC is controlled by my MusicServer PC by means of Remote Desktop and my MusicServer PC is controlled via Remote Desktop on My iPad.

This worked flawlessly when my MusicServer PC ran on Windows 7.

I tried another HDD in my MusicServer PC that runs Windows 10 and although I still can make the connections from iPad > MusicServer PC > Audio PC I can't control the Audio PC and XXHighEnd properly because the Audio PC shows a mouse cursor and therefor the touch functionality doesn't work. This happens in Minimized and Normal OS.

On the MusicServer PC Remote Desktop on the iPad works OK.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Thanks,
Stanley
78  Ultimate Audio Playback / XXHighEnd Support / Re: iPad connection problems anyone ? on: July 15, 2016, 01:05:56 pm
Hi Peter,

For a short time a had the connection this way (before I started using the Music Server PC) and I recall I had a similar problem.

I'm not sure, but I think it did work when I made the connection in MinOS directly (and not in Normal OS and then to MinOS - which  didn't work).

But it was some time ago  scratching so not really sure.

Stanley

Besides that, how can it bother really ? I don't think it takes out other data / information, as it is shown the rightmost and is cut off as the first when the line as a whole does not fit ?

Don't hesitate to express more of your ideas about this !

Hi Peter,

Indeed, the filename extensions don't occupy space in the lines and it really isn't a big deal.
But in my case, I only have WAV files, it would be a bit more quieter for the whole image if the extensions don't show.

I asked, because I might have missed a simple button to exclude the extensions  scratching.
But, like I said, no big deal.

Stanley

Maybe this is discussed before, but I couldn't find it.

In the Library pane the albums are shown with the file type (WAV, FLAC) in between brackets.

Is it possible NOT to show this. I also don't see the use of showing this.

Thanks.

Hi Peter,

The error message showed up again after I started both the AudioPC and MusicServerPC (which I switch off when away from home for a few days).

Playing a track Attended for a few seconds, press stop and Play Unattended, will make the message go away.

Stanley

Assumed that this time you did not need to reboot your server,

Correct.

Hi Peter,

By chance, I reproduced the error message again and thus also could avoid it again.

As you suggested it has to do with SFS settings. With my setting SFS=1; max SFS=60 there's no problem, but the error message shows when "Max the same as SFS" is active.

Hope this helps.

Stanley

Hi Peter,

As far as I can remember I clicked away the error message (I did not click away the Wait for Services message), pressed Ctrl-Alt-X button on the Onscreen Keyboard and waited for XX HighEnd to appear. Then I grabbed the logfile.

I tried to reproduce the error message by changing various settings in "Services", but XXHighEnd doesn't show errors anymore.

On thing I might, I updated XXHighEnd by means of the patch while the MusicServer PC was ON. After rebooting the Music Server PC, XXHighEnd didn't show the error and works perfectly (Maybe this has nothing to do with the problem, but I add it for completeness).

I hope this helps, otherwise, please let me know.

Stanley

Morning Peter,

XXHighEnd 206 works perfectly now.

This morning I also rebooted the MusicServer PS and started XX Attended. That worked.
Next I tried Unattended and that also works fine.
I have no clue what caused the problem. Could it have something to to with the getting the files from the server?

Anyway, thank you.

Stanley

Hi Peter,

Sorry, my mistake.

Attached is a retry, hopefully better.

1. I rebooted several times, but no change.
2. Higher SFS (up to 120) doesn't help.

Attached is the XX logfile.

Hi Peter,

I downloaded the upgrade patch, unzipped it over the existing XXHighEnd 204c version. All seemed to go well, but when I started XXHighEnd (Minimized, Unattended), just before I expected to see the coverart and hear music, it stops and shows the attached message:
