Hi Peter,

After installing windows 10 build 10586.0, when I proceed to make Internet Explorer available. I go into settings>Internet options >programs >set associations, a window pops up which says "To change your default app, go to settings>System >Default apps".

This never happened before with 10074.

How do I proceed?

Hi Guys,

Plugged in the Intona (industrial) a couple of days back & the sound is great. Hard to describe the improvement in words, seems like the noise floor is significantly lower. Besides I can go down to 0.05 SFS( earlier 0.15), which further improves the SQ.

I have a WD My Cloud Mirror NAS & I haven't been able to figure out how to connect it to my audio PC, without a router. If you could be so kind enough to guide me on how to go about doing this. The NAS & the audio PC are connected by ethernet cable.

I have placed order for the Intona USB isolator so I would need the 20 cm Clarixa too.

You could ship the Clarixa with the Base disk.

If all agree maybe 30 cm should be good enough.

Hi Guys,

After the reinstall of W10074 I don't have the problem of the blank screen or logging in after every playback.

Maybe is was a faulty install in the first place or the damage caused by installing W7 shell.

In the end a fresh reinstall, as suggested by Peter, solved all these issues. Monitor off at Unattended also works.

I was quite surprised at the distinct drop in the low end. On further investigation I did find that the DC offset of the DAC was significantly different from the std readings. Correcting this has improved the low end to a great extent. I would go to the extent of saying that the bass now is true. Prior to W10074 the bass was a little bloated hence I perceived a significant difference.

Most of the time, all the tracks in the playlist don't play. Randomly playback will stop after a few tracks, sometimes even after one track. Press Alt+P & it starts playing again.

There is no problem with 2.03/10074 with monitor off. Works just fine. Alt+X brings up XXHE screen.

Hi guys,

Sharing my thoughts on the SQ. I am finding that low end has almost disappeared. Tried various settings of SFS from 0.9 to 4 but no difference at all. It's like the low end has going down many a dB. I am really surprised as no one else has experienced it. Vocals, mids, high end have improved in the sense, more clearer, but this could also be a perception due to the sheer lack of the low end.

Hi Peter,

When I play XXHE, Include Garbage collect is at switched off position as well as SFS is at 0.12.

After a reboot when I bring up XXHE Include Garbage collect is always on & SFS is 1.00. All other settings remain the same as at the time of playing XXHE. Only the above 2 settings change.
