Yes, I DO use XTweaks. . .
When closing XXHE after the last mentioned error message, another error message shows: "Something wrong with 'Copy settings to' file (see preset settings): PresetLoader.XXSI.
Then XXHE seems to freeze.
I didn't change Power settings.

After successfully installing the V1.03 driver I started up XXHE to activate. Pressing the Settings button the following errors popped up:
- Something went wrong at obtaining values 03.
Pressing OK gives:
- Something wrong at obtaining values 02; possibly a reboot is the only thing to help.
Pressing OK gives:
- Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application close immediately.
Pressing Quit and rebooting brings back the same situation.
Is this solvable?

I could ask you why , but why ...  But I guess that is/was my point - now I can not judge it. Any lust to retry it from the base (clean install) ? That's how everybody is doing it, if all is right. At least that is what I told to do (for 10074). No problem if you missed that, but ... well ... And if you do, don't forget to make that clone again. And Stanley, maybe it can work now too, but maybe we come to the conclusion in 3 days time that it won't ... Regards, Peter   I read the Tutorials and all tree times and still must have missed that. You mean : you can't go back to Normal OS because it appears that XXHighEnd is not activated at all ? (which latter would be my assumption)
Yes, that's correct. The "freezes" I recall far back in my mind. What about a forced reboot in this stage ?
A forced reboot brings back the same situation: minimized and not be able to go to normal, because of "freezes". Meanwhile I reinstalled W10. But then what? Do I activate the seemingly already activated XXHE (used under W8) or do I need to delete that and download a "fresh" XXHE and activate this? Thanks, Stanley |

Hi Peter, Finally I found the courage and associated time to install W10 (100074). Starting point was W8, XXHE 2.02 and driver V1.04 that runs perfectly. I cloned the C-drive to another drive and worked with the second drive, so I could fall back on the first drive when things screw up. I installed W10 from a thumb drive (USB-stick) according the Tutorials (hopefully in the correct order). All went without problems and I have XXHE2.02 now running under W10, minimized and unattended.  I was under the impression that I need to activate XXHE, following Tutorial 72, but all seems to work already and the line in the left hand top corner shows in red. So no activation is necessary? I was under the impression that XXHE needs to be re-activated under a new OS? Thanks. Regards, Stanley |

Henk, You operate 2 pc's. With pc 1 (at your desk) you control pc 2 (audio pc) with remote desktop. We discussed that you might put the music files on pc 1 (server) in stead of on the audio pc. But why don't you use pc 1 for playing movies and keep the audio pc exclusively for music? Maybe you told me already, but then I forgot  Regards, Stanley |

 Ok Stanley, when you have a minute or 3 spare ... Can you try whether it still works without the Bluetooth PAN services ? I expect that it still works. So point is : When it works with the WiFi Direct stuff, it still might be unnecessary much what's active so in the targetted group I like to "minimize" again anyway. But this is only a few trials (somewhere in the future). But understand ? I first like to get rid of the whole Bluetooth load. Thanks !! Does it matter when you activate Keep WiFi Direct services + also Keep PAN Services ? (first go to Normal OS again to set those)
Hi Peter,  Activating Keep WiFi Direct services and also Keep PAN Services did the trick. And I have to say the remote for XXHE works great and conveniently.  Curently it works in my home network with all the other laptops, phones, tablets and printers , but I will get a simple router to make a dedicated WiFi access point for audio. BTW, XXHE 2.01 works great and I'm playing with the filters now. It sounds amazing (and now Windows 10 is the new temptation....). Thanks Peter! Regards, Stanley |

Tonight I set up a remote desktop connection (with a iPad mini).
It seems to work just fine (un- and attended), but when I rebooted into minimized OS the remote is unable to connect.
Activated settings are:
Stop Desktop Services
Stop Remaining Services
Keep LAN services - Persist
Use Remote Desktop
Use Touch Facilities
OSD Tekst
Running Time OSD
Any idea why there isn't a connection when minimized?
