Title: MCE remote control ??? Post by: jarek on November 15, 2009, 10:48:02 pm Hi, I have an idea, which may help some lazy guys like me to have more fun. The Vista and Win7 have support for MCE remote control. It would be nice to have the remote working with XXHighEnd. The program has to be aware about presence of MCE remote and react to play, stop, next, pause, etc. ... This is nice feature, and should not be difficult to do, everybody will appreciate such kind of feature. Maybe you can foresee this in the next release ?

Some people might tell you different ! (including me). Anyway ... this just works, if you only buy a 100% compatible MCE remote and USB receiver (!!). Look here : WiFi Remote (http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=753.0;all) (don't mind the name, and start at the bottom !!). Peter Title: Re: MCE remote control ??? Post by: jarek on November 17, 2009, 07:19:42 pm Hi Peter,
can you please direct me to the place in this forum where I can read more about an idea and functionality of unattended playback and AutoHotkey ? I have OrigenAE T21 and manufacturer provided MCE remote and built in IR receiver. Trying to make this remote operational with XXHighEnd. I am little bit lost in finding the right information on forum. Best regards ! Jarek Title: Re: MCE remote control ??? Post by: earflappin on November 17, 2009, 07:40:35 pm Remote Desktop Connection works very nicely as well. I use a netbook and it gives me total control over the music server. If there is a degradation in SQ using RDC it is very subtle.

Quote can you please direct me to the place in this forum where I can read more about an idea and functionality of unattended playback and AutoHotkey ? The topic about the remote I already gave you, and the AutoHotkey stuff should be in here : AutoHotkey Install (http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=724.msg5220#msg5220). About Unattended : Not much to say about that, apart from when using that, the sound engine gets completely separated from the SQ influencing GUI. So, the GUI (and withgoing program) completely disappears, and SQ now really is the best. There are some options in the Settings Area for your convenience (look at the CoverArt section) and even improved Sound Quality (shutting down services). In the mean time the sound engine still can be controlled by keyboard commands. Look here : Re: How to manage xxhe in Unattended (http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=939.msg7522#msg7522). Hope this helps. Peter |
