I've seen this also on one or two earlier versions.

This is on my Vista laptop, with screen set at 1280x800.

I would love to do a screen copy but cant find how :(

Shift-printscreen and paste to a Word document would be one way ... (not the best, but it's a way).

Holding down shift key and then hitting 'print screen' does nothing on any of my 3 PCs :(

O yes, it does ... Btw. Alt-Printscreen would be far better. It makes a copy of the active window.

So ...

Click on the window you want a copy from. - Press Alt-Printscreen.
Open a Word document. - Click on the text area, and press Ctrl-V.

Now please don't tell me that nothing happens ! because there just should ... :aggressive:

Ehh didn't try on vista, but on XP and W2000 you have to: Alt-printScrn-Insert. So 3 buttons to hit. Then paste it into whatever.

Did you perhaps tell your PC to use enlarged fonts ?

Are these the only two fields which wrap to a next line ?
And do you have this in Vista as well as in XP ?

Does anyone else see this ?

But neither me nor the wife (who is quite good at this sort of thing) can get the copy of the screen out of the word document and into a picture like a JPeg.

If you are desperate to see it, the only way would be to let me have your e mail and I will send it as an attachment. I know you don't want your e mail addy out too much in the public domain so I will understand if you don't want to do this. :friends:

Is it possible that you've resized XX (like you can resize a window)? If made too small then things do overlap in XX...

Try to make it larger to see if it then looks okay?

Somehow this is related to having set the Classic (Windows2000) style, *or* this just is Windows2000.

I will try to copy this behaviour, and then try to solve it.

And Chris, If I'm right on my assumption, did you set this Classic style on purpose ? ?

You can use "paint" an accessory of Vista, cut & paste from Word, or straight there & save as a jpeg

Btw, you possibly at one time changed this because of the advises floating around the internet that "Classic" sounds better (of which you know I don't believe in :nea:, or anyway XXHighEnd should not be prone to).

That worked just fine for XP.

My Vista was set on 'Windows Standard' and changing that to 'Windows Vista Basic' sorted that out as well. :drinks:

That is an excellent way to go.

To copy a screen
Hit Control and print screen, then go straight to "paint" and paste it in. Then save as jpeg

With all my problems trying to sort out the glitches (not XX related) I have given no time to on-screen presentation.
