Title: ESI Juli Analogue P/B with AE3 Post by: tricka on April 06, 2009, 05:39:51 am Hi everyone
I guess this is directed at Russ & Peter. I can playback via Audio Engine 3 via my ESI Juli@ spdif but not via my ESI Juli@ analogue; the latter only being available with AE2. I have the latest drivers. Any thoughts? Best Wishes Andrew ps log below - whoops first log I am trying to do a dac test with a 24/48 file... Title: Re: ESI Juli Analogue P/B with AE3 Post by: PeterSt on April 06, 2009, 07:25:06 am Hi Andrew, excuse be, but here at the other end, I personally don't get what is not working or what you want, which propably is because, well, I don't know what you want to do with the card.
The 24/48 confuses me even more (is that related ?), and btw, what you propose as a "DAC Test", is not. The DAC Test is the one but last choice under "DAC Is" and is to be performed with 16/44.1 files. But then I'm dutch ... :swoon: So, please rephrase everything, and don't assume anyone knows what AE2 is. Or AE3. Or P/B. And mostly : Quote I can playback via Audio Engine 3 via my ESI Juli@ spdif but not via my ESI Juli@ analogue; Where / what / how/ why / messages ? And I don't try to exaggerate ! In any case, might it be just "no sound" and "time cursor not moving", get yourself the latest here (http://www.phasure.com/index.php?topic=802.msg5941#msg5941). HI Andrew, IF you have the SPDIF working correctly which I presume you have, simply go to the Juli@ control panel, and press the 'MON' button just beneath the 'S/PDIF OUT' words. The button should turn orange. You should now be getting output via the analogue channels. The Juli@ card is now monitoring the SPDIF channel ( which is still operating in Exclusive Audio mode ~ check by clicking the mute function ~ play should continue unheeded ) and converting it via its internal DAC's to analogue. Job done! See if that works. Russ Title: Re: ESI Juli Analogue P/B with AE3 Post by: tricka on April 06, 2009, 12:29:07 pm aahhhh...thanks Russ.
Good as gold now. Sorry Peter ...guess I was clear as mud. Made sense to me  At least Russ deciphered it. Must be an Australian thing he he Interestingly I changed IC's to some shielded and grounded ones and now have a very low noise floor coming through the 96 db speakers. So am playing with the (unbalanced) analogue out. Very nice it is too. Plus avoids the spdif issue. Thanks Andrew |
