Title: Shutting down Windows sounds Post by: Ava12 on February 05, 2009, 01:01:28 pm So my questions to all of you who read this is, how do you stop Windows/Antivirus/website sounds making a mess of your precious music?
My concrete problem is, that I've got my headphone amplifier installed without a volume pot and that I wouldn't want getting my head blown off by some strange popups etc. But when I shut down XXHE I want to use my Laptop as a normal can-do-all laptop with sounds and all. Does anyone has any suggustions? Is it enough to just turn off the volume control in the task bar? Greetz Ava PS:thank you Peter and the Hotkeys are working all, this idea was superb! My little contribution (FWIW) : Why would you ever want to listen to these Windows sounds at using the PC outside of XX useage ? I don't and it really doesn't bother me. But did you disable all windows sound (notifications, IE sounds etc)? And could that be reversed? Title: Re: Shutting down Windows sounds Post by: SeVeReD on February 07, 2009, 04:01:51 am right click speaker icon
left click "sounds" uncheck "Play Windows Sounds" at the bottom create a "no sounds" scheme in Sound Schemes near the top Now you can choose between schemes.... Title: Re: Shutting down Windows sounds Post by: Ava12 on February 07, 2009, 12:45:43 pm Uh thank you! Didn't get to that!
Now it's working (or is not ) |
