I have all Audio Note SET system with laptop USB to Empirical Off Ramp & Pace Car reclocker. The Pace Car will only accept 24/96 files so vista must be upsampling 16/44.1 to 24/96 (still sounds great though). The odd thing is that xx will not play my 24/96 files it will only play 16/44.1 (regardless which engine is selected). When I run a 24/96 file the "file tab" in xx shows 24/96 - this is odd as I would expect a 24/96 file to pass through vista without a problem. Engine #1 &#2 work fine but engine #3 does not work and I suspect it is something to do with the above problem.

Any ideas would be welcome I would love to hear my 24/96 files using engine #3 under vista.

Also when I run engine #1 under vista it is NOT showing red under settings - does this mean that engine #1 is actually running ?

I am listening now and the sound quality is extraordinarily good. Keep up the good work !!!!!

As I just said in the other post ... the means how USB is used by Empirical is not conform standards. :sorry:


That would only be the case when Engine#2 is used instead of Engine#1, and this should happen under XP only (files can be too large for Engine#1 under XP, not under Vista).
