I installed demo XXHE on my dedicated music PC (none networked very cut back XP SP2 config). Sounded promising so bought the licence. Activated the copy on my laptop first - BIG mistake.... I have spent 4 hours trying to get XXHE copy on my stand alone machine activated. The standalone machine now has another networked XP boot partition on it just to link the Laptop and Desktop with network shares between them. My laptop still cannot transfer the activation key. Can you please help. Questions; 1) Some where in the documentation it references a procedure for transferring the key by USB key drive can you please send me instructions on how to do this. 2) As my dedicated machine build is not stable do you have some precise instructions on how to reliably back up the key and how to reapply it to a new installation I cannot find anything that covers this processes clearly. More information. Have been taking a look at activation problem postings. My symptoms are the same at the ones described in the post below.
