Title: 09v-5 problem Post by: GerardA on September 01, 2008, 02:37:17 pm Hi Peter,
I installed version v5 on top of the old version and get a lot of interresting messages. What can be done about this? Gerard. Title: Re: 09v-5 problem Post by: PeterSt on September 01, 2008, 03:28:45 pm Hmm ... that's all about the same one error : LogicNP.
Are you sure you used 0.9v-4 before ? if Yes, then now it seems to me that you miss something which should be in the download. Or : Are you sure you downloaded 0.9v-5 as a whole in a new folder ? The main one you'd need here is logicnp.folderview.dll from 24-7-2008 (July 24). Title: Re: 09v-5 problem Post by: GerardA on September 01, 2008, 03:41:11 pm Yes, sorry for the trouble, everything was copied except this one.
Title: Re: 09v-5 problem Post by: PeterSt on September 01, 2008, 04:27:23 pm No problem. But please tell me how you "managed" that ?
It might be a warning for others ... :) Title: Re: 09v-5 problem Post by: GerardA on September 04, 2008, 12:49:02 pm Well I guess it is my wireless multimedia keyboard that is a little bit difficult to use, in combination with the 17 inch in the living room and the "directory opus' explorer. So the cut and paste from the unzipped directory to the program files/xxhigend directory went wrong.
It is even difficult to type this.(where is the cursor gone...) :( A new problem on the 17 inch: The albumpicture on the left overlaps with the middle panel and scales up and down together with the middle panel. So I can not change the settings. At the start I could not even use the clear-button because it was not there. I can not make a printscreen because then I only see the wallpaper with the coverpicture. Maybe it is a problem of the ATI-drivers?? Title: Re: 09v-5 problem Post by: PeterSt on September 04, 2008, 04:53:54 pm All what you say I recognize, except for that it wouldn't be solveable ... :) (and I don't know how you got it that far)
You do know about the splitter bars which are there ? just look at the first picture at the top-right of the coverart; that arrow appears when you're over the vertical splitter bar. You can drag it to the left and right, and the size of the pane changes. The last two pictures show the splitter bar between the middle and the right pane ... If you already knew that, you'll probably have a problem with the situation as how it is now statitically (which I don't know of, and obviously can't judge without a screenshot, but anyway, if you install XX again in another folder, that would be reset. But if it is not, again install XX in another folder, and answer "No" to the question "Load previous settings" at the first startup. If you then still have a problem, buy a new display. :swoon: :) Title: Re: 09v-5 problem Post by: GerardA on September 04, 2008, 06:35:17 pm Thanks for the trouble (you took).
One thing that bothers me is that the clear-button dissappears like in your pictures too. The other is that the picture on the left side overlaps with the center-panel which apperantly does not happen for you. The funny thing is that when I change the sizes the picture keeps overlapping. I'll try your suggestion and see what happens. Title: Re: 09v-5 problem Post by: GerardA on September 04, 2008, 07:48:10 pm No go, new folder, new install, don't copy settings -> demo mode.
Without pictures it looks good but then I try music with folder.jpg and the picture on the left is out of it's bounderies again. On my XP-machine it looks ok. So maybe the new ATI-drivers??? BTW If I install in a new directory it is in demo-mode, how do I make it a licensed version? Title: Re: 09v-5 problem Post by: GerardA on September 04, 2008, 08:46:15 pm Very weird..
When I minimize xx to the taskbar and maximize it the problem is gone!! When I exit and start again I have to minimize and maximize again. Title: Re: 09v-5 problem Post by: PeterSt on September 04, 2008, 09:59:34 pm Nah, without pictures I can't understand ...
Nor would I say that this is about new ATI drivers. I wouldn't know how anyway ... Quote BTW If I install in a new directory it is in demo-mode, how do I make it a licensed version? That's just because you didn't copy the licence file to it. But re-entering your Activation Code just does the trick. I think you can always make screen copies by means of the Print Screen button (or alt-printscreen or cltrl-printscreen ... I never know) and then do ctrl-v in a word document which you can attach here (that won't be the best copy, but is sufficient I think). Why the minimizing - and back helps ... weird ... If you talk about the "new ATI driver", just revert back to the old one. You will know soon enough ... :scratching: Title: Re: 09v-5 problem Post by: GerardA on September 04, 2008, 11:04:14 pm Ha ha printscreen of the xx-program changes to the desktop-background and I get a nice picture of the coverart against a black background.
I use gadwin to make the screenprints. I can put the old (8.5 iso 8.8) ATI drivers back but the process of installing ATI-drivers is not something you do for your pleasure. But I'll do it someday just for curiosity, don't wait for it! Title: Re: 09v-5 problem Post by: GerardA on September 07, 2008, 02:51:33 pm He something has changed in version v6!
Now it is better but still a bit strange: (And printscreen works again!, minimizing doesn't change it) Update: With some playing around I'm back at the old situation and have to minimize to get it perfect.. Title: Re: 09v-5 problem Post by: PeterSt on September 07, 2008, 07:35:13 pm Ah, now I see !
You must look for a setting like fonts - small - normal - medium - large ... Yours are set to above normal now. But I guess just everything doesn't look norrmal ?? XXHighEnd wasn't made suitable for the font sizes. That is, not when it is set from external. Btw, what type of file is this ? I mean, isn't that the total album at the bottom ? is it some kind of cue file thing ? This doesn't look good to me (hence you use a type of file I don't anticipate upon ?) Title: Re: 09v-5 problem Post by: GerardA on September 07, 2008, 10:18:25 pm Aha, bigger fonts for old people!
It is a flac file with the complete album, it comes with a cue-file. The songs on top are from the previous album but I forgot to clear it. Title: Re: 09v-5 problem Post by: PeterSt on September 07, 2008, 11:42:58 pm Ah, I recall now. A cue file FLAC doesn't show how it should, but it does play.
