Title: Playlist area is moving away to the right :(
Post by: andy74 on April 17, 2008, 09:59:38 pm
Hi Peter,

I have a strange bug on Vista Home Premium SP1
Every time I start XX the playlist area is more and more shifted to the right untill it goes beyond the main window boundaries.
It is cured only by renaming the folder hence losing all settings to defaults.

Mybe it has to do with setting the windos fonts to "Large".

Did anyone tried it?

Yes it was a large font.
I changed it back to normal font and it is fine again

OK, yes i did change the font size in the windows Vista settings to be  able to read the text in the play list, im runing the last version of XXHighend player 9u 15, and it started with moving to the right. Got a couple of error messages from Windows and it just got worse. The player started to popp up with messages saying 16bit crack detected i think it was.  Then the playing list with all setting flags disapared totaly.  Changed back to original font size and hoped to solve the problem. But it did not, play list is gone.  Tried to reinstal XXHigh end but stil no play list.  Is there any one that have had the same problem and if yes a solution to the problem would be great.  Seams  like this problem makes the OS a bit unstable.   PeterST do you have any solutions to this.

I once sorted out where these settings are stored (this is done by Windows, out of my control);
Look at the screenpic below, and know that the "\ps\" part in there is my user id for windows.

The "latest one" (there are more of these folders, and the newest is the one currently in use) is to be deleted.

Eventually I will make some reset function myself.

Btw, I can't know what you are exactly seeing, but if you look at the second picture below you'll see that there's a bar which can be dragged (look at the mouse pointer). This is always right to the left of the Playlist Area. Maybe this can help you to restore things ?
