Title: Using Yamaha Natural Sound DSP Post by: briefremarks on May 27, 2023, 07:49:48 am In an attempt to make streaming tolerable, I tested the idea of adding ambient reflections using the Yamaha Natural Sound DSP--in my case the DSP-100u.
I found it has a very positive effect on musical enjoyment of streamed audio. The effect is somewhat dependent on the recording, but I have found that in the worst case it does nothing. It adds a certain spaciousness and air to the listening experience. These qualities seem to be there by default listening to XXHE/NOS1, but without this addition streaming is very tiring. There is something the ambient reverberation adds that is very positive. |
