Title: Q-sound (Dolby Pro Logic etc.) Post by: LydMekk on March 14, 2008, 01:30:54 am Came over a more seldom played recording of mine yesterday of Andreas Wollenweider - The Essential Andreas Wollenweider.
The interesting part is in the beginning of track 1 there's some girls giggling around the stage and at one point there's one girl besides each of your ears giggling away. Nice effect. Pulse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P*U*L*S*E) is another one. Title: Re: Q-sound (Dolby Pro Logic etc.) Post by: PeterSt on February 17, 2011, 09:49:01 pm Madonna - Immaculate Collection.
And I'm fairly sure some Jimi Hendrix stuff (by listening). But I could never really proove it. There's at least one other, but I forgot which (Google will tell I guess). Notice that it can be very tough to exploit this. Once I changed from a single main (stereo) amp to bi-amping, and it took me months to get it working again (sound should be up to completely behind you if all works well). I recall that proper interlinks did the job (btw Stax at the time). Later I moved to a new house and there I have never managed to get it back. A little - and maybe up to just over 30 degrees (outside of the speakers) only. All phase manipulation ... (btw IIRC "invented" by Roger Waters himself) Title: Re: Q-sound (Dolby Pro Logic etc.) Post by: Nick on February 17, 2011, 10:28:25 pm Sting "The Soul Cages".
I last listened to this when my system was vinyl based, it went way beyond the speakers. Hmmm might get it again on CD just to give it a try. Nick. |
