XXHighEnd

When i play Billie Eilish last album i get noice/tics from track 2.

Decode HDCD + MQA in xx settings is off but it does`t help.

All other setting is like Peters last settings.

Is it something i can do with this?

Hi Tore,

No, nothing you can do. The albums of 44.1 are fake-MQA anyway. Just avoid them.
And Yes, I know, there are most probably no normal 16/44.1 albums left in Tidal (once you see an MQA version of that album existing).

In the upcoming XXHighEnd version you can recognize them ("real" MQA-44.1's exist just the same).

Hi Peter,

Awaiting the new XXHE version. There are indeed a lot of issues with Tidal playback, especially the streams prepared of late. Tracks stop playing abruptly. Second time round the same track doesn’t start playing. Some tracks play on one day & not the next day.

Hello Tore,

Some of my listings in the states include other versions (non-MQA) lower on the album page . If not, I use the tidal app on my phone to find the other non-MQA version and copy that number.

Hi Peter

Any news on the new XXHE version.

Most of the recent MQA additions to Tidal only play in XXHE with MQA decoding turned off.

However those that I have played from the Tidal app do play at the unfolded sample rate. I checked this by measuring the LRCK frequency in my DAC.
