Title: 96/24 test file Post by: LydMekk on March 08, 2008, 04:46:51 am As you have stated that files from 2l.no is coded wrongly, I wondered if you have a link for me so I can test 24/96 material?
Most free files from e.g. Linn is only 24/48 or 16/48. Wonder if XX->my DAC is really capable of reproducing 24/96 at the moment. And yes, the DAC itself is capable of 192/24, the soundcard only delivers 96/24. But I can only make XX reproduce hissing when trying to play back e.g. 24/48 or 24/96 material (something that WMP 11 can do with no problem whatsoever) and my DAC connects with that datastream without problems. Link anyone? Title: Re: 96/24 test file Post by: Leo on March 08, 2008, 09:05:42 am http://itrax.com/index.php

Look for "Super HD" Title: Re: 96/24 test file Post by: PeterSt on March 09, 2008, 10:37:22 pm Hi Terje,
I'm not sure whether that's the best ... They don't tell what they do i.e. how they do it, much material is old, so how do they do *that*, and per album I can't see what I get, except it's High Definition. So what is that ? And what is Super HD ? :) Peter Title: Re: 96/24 test file Post by: Terje on March 14, 2008, 10:55:22 pm Jack Wrigley at Musicgiants sent this when I asked what their HD and Super HD formats ment. (have never tested any of their material myself)
Hd is equal to 44.1 16bit our superHD is either 88.1 or 96/24 bit Jack Wrigley MusicGiants |
