When I download and try to open: XXHighEnd-211-UpgradePatchOver204AndBeyond.rar a message appears that says: "The archive is either in unknown format or damaged." I tried it several times with the same result. There is no problem opening the full version. I think Ramesh hints in the right direction : Use WinRar to extract the files. N.b.: WinRar (http://www.stordiau.nl/downloads/winrar-x64-570.exe) is free, as long as you don't buy it (I am serious). Thanks, Joseph Joseph, someone else handed me the trick to UnRar it on another PC. Then copy over the files to the Audio PC. Not sure whether that helps you. Also, the lot won't be able to deal with Anti-Virus software well. So that may very well bug you in this case. Please notice that there are no viruses implanted, but Registry hacks the software applies may be seen as such. I solved it by upgrading my copy of WinRAR from 4.0 to the latest version -- 5.90. If you created the archive with a later version of WinRAR, that may be why some other users are also having a problem. Thanks! Can you (Joseph) or perhaps someone else with the same issue, try to UnZip (UnRar) these : XXHighEnd-211.rar (http://www.stordiau.nl/downloads/XXHighEnd-211-02.rar) XXHighEnd-211-UpgradePatchOver204AndBeyond.rar (http://www.stordiau.nl/downloads/XXHighEnd-211-UpgradePatchOver204AndBeyond-02.rar) No need to install for this test ! Just see whether it "unpacks" (use a Temporary folder). These are created with the 4.20 RAR version. N.b.: At this moment I have put these same 4.20 versions in the topic for the download(s). You will recognize them by means of the -02 suffix. |
